Hi Friends!
Thank you for coming along on this journey with us, we are really excited to help bring about the change in the world that we long to see. This is a new venture, with nothing but opportunities ahead to learn, grow, and partner with likeminded humans wanting to make a positive difference.
Before we created any products or decided on any branding — there was only a feeling.
A question, really:
What does safety look like in a world that often feels unsafe?
That is the question that led us to create Haven Theory.
To us, a haven isn’t just a home or a shelter - it's so much more than that. It’s the small, everyday acts of care that remind people they’re not alone. It’s the communities that rebuild after harm, the organizations that hold space for healing, and the shared belief that comfort itself can be revolutionary. That we are stronger together.
Each month we plan on highlighting a different charitable association and providing resources on how to more easily connect with their platforms to volunteer, donate, or even just share their voice with those you are close with.
This month, we’re highlighting LifeWire a Washington-based nonprofit helping survivors of domestic violence find safety, independence, and dignity. Their work reminds us that everyone — every person, animal, or community — deserves to feel safe in their own story.
Highlighting How to Help
-
Who is LifeWire?
LifeWire is Washington State’s leading nonprofit working to end domestic violence and support survivors on their paths to safety, stability and healing. Beginning in 1982 as the Eastside Domestic Violence Program and has since grown into a full-service advocate for survivors.
- What does LifeWire do to help?
They offer trauma-informed, survivor-driven support where trained advocates partner with individuals to listen, tailor help, and provide the resources needed to build a safer life. Emphasizing that these victims are not alone.
They also offer housing-first programs so no one has to pick between staying safe and being homeless. Beyond the one-on-one work, LifeWire trains communities, workplaces and groups to understand domestic violence—what it is, the signs, and how to safely help those in need.
- How do I help? How to get involved?
Even if it doesn't feel like it, there are several ways that you can make a difference today!

It doesn't take much to start to make a difference. It would mean the world to us if you could take a moment to visit their site, learn how to volunteer, or make a donation with this wonderful organization. Please also use this moment as a reminder to check in on the people in your world, let them know you support them and that they are not alone in this.
Sometimes that’s how change begins: one quiet act of care at a time.
With love,
Jill
